Welcome To
Vision Statement
At Poulton St Chad’s, we believe every child is a gift from God, blessed with their own gifts and talents. It is our mission to ensure children are safe, happy and can thrive. We aim to give our children a love for learning through our engaging curriculum and enrichment opportunities; a love for God within our distinctly Christian setting and a love for one another through our nurturing environment and inclusive relationships
Every day we are guided by our biblical root: “Let all that you do be done in love.” (1 Corinthians 16:14) 💙
and by our school motto: LOVE LEARNING. LOVE GOD. LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
-
Our Aims:CURRICULUM: Every child, regardless of starting point, makes at least good progress; enjoys their learning; experiences an enriching and diverse curriculum; and achieves results to be proud of.FAITH: Children of all faiths and none understand our Christian values and lead a happy, spiritually fulfilling life whilst at St Chad’s and beyond.RELATIONSHIPS: All children learn to be safe, kind and respectful. Staff, parents and governors support children and each other through their positive, encouraging relationships and show a commitment to what school is trying to achieve.
We will offer:
- A nurturing environment which strives for the highest possible standards for children’s wellbeing, behaviour and all-round achievement.
- A broad, balanced, inclusive and enriching curriculum presented in an interesting, and imaginative manner with many opportunities for educational visits, first-hand experience, practical work, investigation, spiritual growth and learning through play.
- A Christian school community where we follow the teachings of Jesus, develop the children’s spirituality and help all our children and adults to know and grown in God’s love.
- Nurturing relationships between children and adults which are based on mutual respect, consideration for others, courtesy, good manners, patience, compassion and kindness. We will treat all fairly, listen to others sympathetically and attentively and teach children how to disagree well.
- A commitment to inclusion, equality and diversity where all children can learn and thrive and have equal access and opportunities regardless of their background, race, gender, religion or disability. We will nurture and support SEND children to remove barriers to learning and offer personalised learning where needed.
- An appropriate platform for our children to voice their opinions and concerns with confidence and respect (particularly on issues of school improvement, courageous advocacy, sustainability and equality and diversity) through our School Council, Ethos Group, Eco council and Anti-Racism Council, and through subject leader discussions.
- Supportive, honest and effective working partnerships with parents, carers, outside agencies and others in our parish and our local community.
- The skills and knowledge to prepare our children for their next stage of life and to enable them to develop as confident, well-rounded members of society able to make a positive difference in the world.
