Hello and welcome to Year 3’s class page. Mr Graham is the Class Teacher with Miss Cassidy and Mrs Stanley both acting to support the children. PE takes place on Monday and Friday afternoons, please ensure your child arrives in school PE kit and appropriate footwear. If your child has any form of piercing we ask that these either be removed for the session or if your child is unable to remove them independently we ask that you please send them in with plasters to cover them, this is school policy which helps ensure the safety of all children.
A Home Learning Menu is provided at the start of each term, these provide an opportunity for the children to take ownership over their home learning by selecting from a range of tasks which interest them. We ask that the children complete all core activities provided (Mathematics, Reading, Writing) and select a minimum of two other activities to complete and present to the class. Weekly Maths and English tasks are also sent home on a Wednesday, we ask that children please return these on the following Wednesday.
We encourage our children to read on a regular basis and ask that children read at home three times weekly with planners checked on Friday. If your child has been unable to read three times through the week, they will be asked to stay and read with an adult during breaktime.
