The Creative Corner is an immersive learning environment, where children will explore learning on a theme through foundation subjects. The Creative Corner is underpinned by The Characteristics of Effective Learning, these being; Playing an Exploring, Active Learning and Creative and Critical Thinking. Two topics will be covered each year, one with a Geography focus and one with a History focus. This year we will be learning all about the oceans of the world, followed by the history of the seaside.
PE is on Wednesday and Friday, Children must wear PE kit on these days.
Some of our learning will be child initiated, meaning the voice of the child is incredibly important.
Miss Whorlton-Jones is the Class Teacher and Miss Eggleston covers the class on a Wednesday morning.

In The Creative Corner, we work towards developing and nurturing children’s spirituality through;
- Encouraging children to ask questions about the world around them.
- Provide children with extensive opportunities to deepen their awe and wonder of God’s Creation through our topic based approach.
- Exploring their self through a wide variety of artistic and creative learning opportunities.
- Highlight and appreciate the wonders of the world through play and planned activities.
- Encourage children to connect with the world around them.
- Provide time for children to explore the world around them through play and team activities.
- Open ended projects which promote children to take responsibility for their own learning.
