A warm welcome to the online home of Year 5 where you will be able to keep up to date with what is happening in our class throughout the year. My name is Mr Blackburn. We are very lucky to be supported in Year 5 by Mrs Hopwood. When I am out of class (Tues afternoon, Wednesday) the class will be taught by Mrs Parkinson and supported again by Mrs Hopwood.
It is really important that everyone in Year 5 has the right equipment for school each day. Please make sure that the children bring their planners/diaries into school each day. Spelling books need to be in school each Wednesday as new Spellings will be given out each Wednesday and will be tested the following Wednesday.
Our PE days are Wednesday so please ensure that your child comes to school wearing their full PE on these days.
Finally, it is extremely important that you remember that school begins at 8.45am prompt. Your child needs to be here in time for the register each morning or they are missing valuable learning time in this crucial year. Guided Reading sessions will begin at 8.55am each day so anyone arriving after this time will receive a late mark.
